A restless knight. A dangerous enemy. And a wish that should never have been made.
A restless knight. A dangerous enemy. And a wish that should never have been made. Sir Roderick is living the life most heroes dream of. Comfort, recognition, and peace at last. The problem is, he hates it. What he really wants is another quest. When a visit to the Elven Bureau of Investigation reveals an unfinished list of the Beandom’s most wanted, Roderick jumps at the chance to return to action. But his new mission quickly leads him to a far more unsettling threat. The Needler. A man who does not fight with swords or spells, but with words. Words that cut deep enough to bring even the bravest heroes to their knees. Desperate for an edge, Roderick turns to a cursed wishing well and makes a choice that could cost him everything. The power he gains might help him stand against the Needler, but the price is far greater than he ever imagined. And even with that power, he cannot win alone. To stop the Needler and avenge those already broken by his attacks, Roderick must gather a team, face his own growing curse, and charge into a battle where strength means nothing and the wrong word could end it all.
Perfect for readers who love:
• Humorous fantasy with high-stakes adventure
• Quests filled with twists, danger, and clever humor
• Heroes who pay a real price for power
• Fast-paced fantasy with memorable villains
For fans of Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, and epic quests that never go according to plan. He wanted a quest. Now he has one. The only question is what it will cost him.
