One prophecy. Two possible heroes. And absolutely no clarity on which one it is.
One prophecy. Two possible heroes. And absolutely no clarity on which one it is. And now we have… the whole story. Wizard Jackdaw has finally deciphered the Uppercase Prophecy, a mysterious riddle that reveals the fate of the entire kingdom. There is just one small problem. The kingdom’s only hope lies in… someone. With a crucial piece missing, it is unclear whether that “someone” is a gallant knight destined for greatness or a sub-assistant goat herder with a very similar name and significantly fewer qualifications. Naturally, the only reasonable solution is to send them both. To uncover the truth, the two would-be heroes must unravel the three parts of the legendary Riddle of Ages. If they succeed, they might stop ELM, a surprisingly small Dark Lord with very large ambitions to disrupt the kingdom’s all-important magic bean harvest. If they fail, magic bean production will collapse, the kingdom will fall into darkness, and the world will be deprived of its most sacred treasure: Magic-bean burritos. No pressure. With time running out, the unlikely heroes must rely on a washed-up wizard, an un-distressed damsel, and a thoroughly rejected evil sidekick. What follows is a wildly unpredictable adventure filled with wrong turns, questionable decisions, heroic misunderstandings, inconvenient revelations, and just enough luck to keep everything from completely falling apart. This Special Expanded Edition of A Wonderful Day for a Quest takes the adventure farther than ever before, featuring new and expanded scenes, additional character moments, even more ridiculous footnotes, and bonus material that deepens the wonderfully strange world of the story. And when the quest is finally over—or at least as over as quests like this ever get—the adventure continues with an exclusive preview of Book Two, offering your first glimpse at what awaits these heroes next. So whether you are visiting the kingdom for the first time or returning for another helping of magic-bean-fueled chaos, this is the most complete version of the quest yet. This Special Edition includes:
• New scenes not found in the original edition
• Expanded versions of favorite moments
• Additional character interactions and story details
• Even more humorous footnotes
• Bonus material throughout the book
• An exclusive preview of the second book in the series
Perfect for readers who love:
• Laugh-out-loud fantasy packed with absurd twists
• Parodies of classic quest stories and heroic tropes
• Misfit heroes who succeed despite themselves
• Fast-paced, binge-worthy fantasy adventures
• Fantasy worlds where the footnotes may be almost as dangerous as the villains
For fans of Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, and delightfully ridiculous quests that refuse to behave. Two heroes. One prophecy. More scenes. More footnotes. More chaos. And a kingdom that still really needs those beans.
